Suspicious bag at domestic terminal prompts police response

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (Radio New Zealand International, Nov. 26, 2015) – A suspicious bag at French Polynesia's airport prompted a brief closure of the airport.

The bag was found at the domestic terminal in Tahiti, prompting police to close all access and calling in the bomb squad which blew it up.

The discovery of the bag meant that staff and passengers had to leave the airport, causing a big traffic jam.

French Polynesia has been under heightened alert since the Paris bombing nearly two weeks ago.
