SUVA, Fiji (Fiji Times, July 19, 2016) –  Close to 20 Fiji Police officers have attended training in Indonesia in various capacities following the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two countries in 2011.

This was highlighted by the Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho at a press conference this morning.

"The Indonesian commitment to assist us and share their experience with us would not have come at a better time noting the complexity of global policing challengers confronting us today," he said.

Brig-Gen Qiliho said the outcome of the second technical working group session between the two forces would help to pave the way forward for the second of the existing MOU of operations between the two forces.
