Papua New Guinea's First Tourism Expo Underway In Port Moresby

Education, information sharing, networking

PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea (PNG Post-Courier, May 25, 2017) – The PNGTourism Industry Association Inc. with the support of its sponsors will be holding its inaugural Hospitality Expo from  24 – 25 May 2017 at the Crowne Plaza in Port Moresby.

The aim of the Expo is for exhibitors to make connections with the domestic market – corporates, suppliers, travel agents, airlines and so forth.

Our major centres are now becoming M.I.C.E. hubs for both national and regional events; by meeting the respective domestic trade the exhibitors can learn about upcoming events and plans for the domestic market.

The Hospitality Expo also offers the exhibitors an opportunity to attend information sessions to get up-to-date information on standards, policy, regulations and business solutions.

The hospitality sector is the largest sector in the tourism industry that is highly unregulated. The expo is a big step forward to addressing such issues and will help us identify how to help improve the sector’s standards.

The two-day event will see the 24th May as the information sessions and the 25th May from 9am-12pm will be “Open to Public and Schools” and from 2-5pm will be for the Trade ONLY.

The PNG tourism and hospitality industry look forward to having the public come along to the “2017 Hospitality Expo”.
