HONIARA, Solomon Islands (SIBC, Jan. 21) - Locally-made bread and navy biscuit products will soon be available again in the Solomon Islands markets.

This follows the signing of a contract yesterday by Honiara company, Global Vision, to purchase assets of Goodman Fielder Solomon Islands Limited.

The assets include the flourmill, and bread and biscuit manufacturing plants at Ranadi.

The purchase of the plants and settlement of the purchase however will not be concluded until certain conditions are met.

Lawyer John Sullivan, representing Global Vision, confirmed that this will likely be late this month or early next month.

Global Vision is backed by families with long histories in the local business community, who have operated well respected businesses for several decades.
